Course Description: The course will review theories and research from the field of Social Psychology and Decision Making and their application in promoting social and behavioral change in the real world. During the course we will discuss ways in which knowledge about psychological processes can help to shape policy and change behavior in the context of health, economics, environment protection and more. We will discuss the benefits and limitations of such interventions. 

Course Objectives: • Provide an in-depth understanding of theories and research in Social Psychology and Decision Making, relevant to promote social and behavioral change. • Identify the psychological processes and environmental factors that may promote social and behavioral change. • Awareness of the ethical and moral implications of such behavioral change interventions. • Suggesting an intervention to change behavior, based on the theories, ideas, and methods learned in the course. 

Course Structure: Lessons 1-3 will be given by the lecturer and will include background presentations for the course. Lessons 4-9 will consist of presentations by the students. The topics for the presentations appear below. Lessons 10-11 will be devoted to developing the students' intervention proposal. Lessons 12-13 will be devoted to the presentation of the intervention proposal by the students.
