The School of Pharmacy at the Faculty of Health Sciences, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev is a young and dynamic school, offering a Bachelor's degree (B.Pharm), as well as a Master's degree in "Community Clinical Pharmacy and Regulatory Management." The School's advanced and innovative programs provide the skills and tools that will enable students to thrive in all areas of the contemporary world of pharmacy.

Over the past few years, we are witnessing rapid and fundamental changes in the way the pharmacist's profession is perceived in Israel. The pharmacist today has much greater responsibilities and plays a key role in maintaining public health. In this role, pharmacists must acquire clinical and regulatory knowledge and tools, which will assist them in facing the professional challenges posed both by their roles as clinical healthcare providers and by the managerial-regulatory environment of the pharmaceutical industry and adjacent fields.

In response to this trend, the School of Pharmacy inaugurated a unique and innovative Master's program (M.Sc.) in "Community Clinical Pharmacy and Regulatory Management." The program prepares students for these challenges, providing skills in consulting and pharmaceutical oversight in both the private and the public sectors including private pharmacies, pharmacy chains, hospitals and clinics. In addition the Master's program is responding to the growing demand for pharmacists with knowledge in management and application of regulatory processes in pharmaceutical companies, bio-tech firms, healthcare organizations and institutional pharmacies. The program is founded on the provision of theoretical knowledge and its application at the pharmacist's workplace and is suited to working pharmacists.

In addition to the clinical emphases, the program aims to foster excellence, as well as encourage students to continue in research focused on basic and applied pharmaceutical developments towards advanced degrees. The program is led by a team of lecturers from the fields of medicinal chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, and pharmacology.

The Faculty of Health Sciences at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev is a leader in research excellence and scientific innovation, including in multidisciplinary research and applied scientific developments. It is also committed to community outreach, environmental responsibility, and the development of the Negev.
