The “Dean’s Forum” is an opportunity for members of the faculty to celebrate and learn from outstanding scholarly achievements. The Dean invites presentations by scholars either from within the BGU community or visitors. The presentations include the story behind a research project, how the idea arose, blind alleys, collaborations, lessons learned during the revision/resubmission processes, how it could be done better next time, as well as the results and scholarly contributions. The subject of the presentation may be a journal article published in an elite journal, successful publication o​f research based on a competitive grant, a highly-ranked publication based on work by a graduate student, or any other remarkable academic achievement. The sessions last one hour, including introduction by the Dean, the presentation, and time for questions and answers.
