The Department of Communication Systems Engineering (CSE) is dedicated to training engineers that can initiate and lead the development of new technologies in the fields of networking and communications.
Cutting-edge research is conducted by top tier scientists and world renowned researchers, who focus on the fields of networking, hardware, software, and the communication technologies that are required by the industry, in addition to training more than 60 engineering students annually for B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees.
Leading in its applied research approach, the Department of CSE at BGU collaborates closely with both Israeli and global hi-tech companies and is associated with several innovative startups.
The Department of CSE participates in FP7 projects (under the framework of national and European consortia), and its faculty has broad expertise covering network optimization, queuing theory, graph theory, network protocols, algorithms, signal processing, network coding, hardware design, and physical layer communications.
The M.Sc. program is a two year thesis (research) track program.

M.Sc. requirements:
» B.Sc. degree in Communication System engineering or in closely related fields from an accredited institution at a minimum GPA of 80/100 according to the Israeli grading system.
» TOEFL score of at least 85/120 or an equivalent score in an internationally recognized English proficiency exam is required. The English proficiency requirement is waived for applicants who received their B.Sc. degree in a program taught in English.
» GRE is recommended but not required.
