Hartal, an Air Force Colonel (Ret.) with over 28 years of experience in operational-technological specialization, will be working with local research and development teams recruited by the company.

The research center in Tel Aviv was dedicated by Ford Chairman Bill Ford during his visit to Israel on June 2019. It plays a crucial role in the fields of connectivity, sensors, automated systems, AV autonomous vehicles, AI artificial intelligence, in-vehicle monitoring and cybersecurity. Moreover, the center serves as a research base, supporting Ford's global Research and Advanced Engineering team.

"Among Ford Motors goals, is to be the forerunner in autonomous vehicles and mobility, and the Ford Research in Israel serves this important goal by realizing the potential in the Israeli innovation ecosystem: the Israeli technology, investments, talents and groundbreaking ventures," explains Hartal

GGFBM Dean Prof. Miki Malul mentions an interesting aspect of Hartal's appointment: “No small wonder that one of our MBA students has been selected to run what is essentially an engineering R&D center of a major global corporation. Our Business & Management Faculty attract the highest caliber students highly motivated to use management skills to make improve society, to make business the solution to the problems instead of being the problem; Management Leads Society – this is our motto, our aim. Boaz is a prime example of a manager leading society and he gives Ford the leading edge."
