We continue to follow the developments and the decisions and act with the aim of safeguarding the health and well-being of all those coming to campus. Ben-Gurion University of the Negev is switching to online classes only.
We are aware that during this switch problems could arise and a period of adjustment could be necessary, but we are sure that you will help and cooperate so that the semester can continue in the best and most efficient way possible.
Tomorrow – Monday March 16, 2020, lectures will take place online at their regular times and will help you learn how to use the system. You are asked to enter the course site and to connect to ZOOM and to learn together with the lecturer how to use the program and learn about the possibilities it offers for online study and you will receive a request from the lecturer that the course will take place on another day, you should enter the model and connect. Please do this to practice using the system.
From Tuesday March 17, 2020 onwards, lectures will take place at their regular times online and the semester will continue with online teaching. Problems could arise during the first few days. Please be patient and help as much as possible, so that the lecturers can continue to teach the course.

We are working to find solutions for courses that have labs or excursions. We are obligated to follow instructions from the Ministry of Health.
Only students who have no access to the Internet are invited to use the computer rooms in the student dormitories and to connect to their courses from there.
The telephone number for technical support for distance learning will be published tomorrow morning on the BGU website and Facebook page.
A number of important updates:
» The period of change will continue until April 2, 2020 at midnight.
» Examinations with special dates are postponed, but it will be possible to enroll for continuing courses.
» The courses “The Theater Experience" and “The Fringe" will not take place this semester. Please register for alternative courses.
»The musical experience course will take place as listed, though online.
» We are unsure if there will be summer courses this year, please register in the spring semester for all the required courses for your study program.
» There will be no entrance to the library, although library services are still available. Students wishing to borrow books are asked to send their request to the following address: firstname.lastname@example.org attaching your telephone number.
