ד"ר אלעד כרמלד"ר אלעד כרמל הוא פוסט-דוקטורנט במכון המפרי לשנת 2018-19. תחום התמחותו הוא היסטוריה של מחשבה פוליטית, בדגש על הגותו הפוליטית והדתית של תומס הובס וההתקבלות של רעיונותיו על ידי הוגים מאוחרים יותר. ד"ר כרמל הוא בעל תואר ראשון ושני במדע המדינה מאוניברסיטת תל אביב, ובעל דוקטורט בתיאוריה פוליטית מאוניברסיטת אוקספורד. הוא היה מרצה במחלקה ללימודים רב-תחומיים במכללת ספיר ופוסט-דוקטורנט מטעם קרן ליידי דיוויס באויברסיטה העברית.
