BGU will set up a vaccination station on the Marcus Family Campus in Beer-Sheva tomorrow, Monday, February 22, 2021, to offer vaccinations to students, faculty, and staff and their families. Members of any health fund will be eligible to be vaccinated with the first shot or the second.
The vaccination station will operate between 10.00 - 15.00 in the lobby of the Zlotowski Student Center (#70).
“A return to routine is emerging just over the horizon. It could happen soon thanks to the vaccinations, whose high effectiveness has already been proven,” read a letter sent to the BGU community by the University's President Prof. Daniel Chamovitz (pictured above), Rector Prof. Chaim Hames, and Director-General David Bareket.
“As an academic research institution, proud of its many scientific achievements, we have direct access to data-driven scientific advice from some of the leading experts in the country and the world in the fields of medicine, immunology, virology, and public health, several of whom are numbered among Ben-Gurion University faculty. Their unequivocal recommendation is to get vaccinated as quickly as possible,” continued the letter, “We can stop this pandemic and return to our much-needed routine.”
