BGU President Prof. Daniel Chamovitz welcomed Nefesh B'Nefesh Co-Founder and Executive Director Rabbi Yehoshua Fass to the campus recently to discuss further deepening the relationship between the two institutions.

This summer, a new group of immigrants (Olim) from North America learned Hebrew through BGU's ulpan program. Prof. Chamovitz outlined BGU's expansion plans and the two discussed mutually beneficial future collaborations.

"Olim from North America bring great dedication and devotion to Israel. We want to give them the skills and the opportunities to thrive here in the Negev and really make a difference," says Chamovitz, who made Aliyah from Pennsylvania in 1984.  "We invite them to become one of the engines of growth of our innovation ecosystem which is transforming the Negev."

Nefesh B'Nefesh Co-Founder and Executive Director Rabbi Yehoshua Fass added " BGU is a natural partner for the holistic post-Aliyah programming and assistance for Olim which Nefesh B'Nefesh provides. Together we are looking forward to shaping the face of Israel and realizing the potential of the Negev."
