The Cybertech Conference and Exhibition 2016 will kick off today at the Israel Trade Fairs & Convention Center- Pavilion 2 in Tel Aviv on Tuesday and Wednesday, January 26 and 27.  

As the leader in academic applied research on cyber security, it is only natural that Ben-Gurion University of the Negev is the academic sponsor of the conference. As such, BGU President Prof. Rivka Carmi will offer welcoming remarks to launch the conference. Keynote Speakers include Prime Minister of Israel Binyamin Netanyahu. 

BGU will anchor the CyberSpark pavilion, which brings together all of the amazing elements that are turning Beer-Sheva into the cyber security capital of Israel and an up-and-coming international powerhouse.

BGU’s researchers will be available for interviews and will showcase some of its latest research on socialbots and how to protect against attacks emanating from social networks.
 

Prof. Yuval Elovici, director of Deutsche Telekom Innovation Labs@BGU and the Cyber Security Research Center, will be a panelist on "Cyber Security for Mobile & Telecommunication Systems."

Prof. Dan Blumberg, BGU’s VP and Dean, R&D will be a panelist on "Banking Cyber Security Trust and Business Continuity Management (Fintech)."
