In honor of Black History Month, a February 26th concert at the Jazz Club in the Negev town of Mizpeh Ramon featuring the Student Blues Band from "The Inner Compass," Mizpeh Ramon's Jazz Conservatory. The fruit of a unique collaboration between the Center for Israel Studies at Ben Gurion University and the American Embassy in Israel, the concert will include music, ideas and content inspired by a course conducted this year by Dr. Aryeh Tepper from Ben Gurion University in which students explored the deeper meanings of blues and jazz, including their impact on Israeli jazz.
