Martine Aliana Rothblatt, JD, MBA, PhD is a visionary entrepreneur responsible for major breakthroughs in the fields of satellite communications, biotechnology, aviation, and more. Known for her pioneering role in the development of satellite communications, she was responsible for the launch of the first global satellite radio network in 1990, was the CEO of GeoStar and the creator of SiriusXM Satellite Radio. Dr. Rothblatt is a true polymath, a recognized authority on the law of outer space, with patents in multiple disciplines and books on topics as varied as gender identity, bioethics, and xenotransplantation. She is currently the founder, chairperson and CEO of United Therapeutics, a biotechnology company working on transplantable organs

Vice President for Industrial and Regional Development. Ben-Gurion University of the Negev

Prof. Dan G. Blumberg is Vice President for Regional and Industrial Development, and Incumbent of the Simon Family Chair in Remote Sensing at BGU. He is a leader in the development of the IT and cyber eco-system in Beer-Sheva and a member of a national committee on leveraging the AI industry and research in Israel. He was a co-investigator on the SRL (Spaceborne Radar Laboratory) mission and SRTM mission, and led the development and successful launch of a Nanosatellite, BGUsat - a 3U cubesat with a shortwave infrared imager onboard. Prof. Blumberg also works on analysis of multi-parameter remote sensing data including radar, hyperspectral, multi-spectral and GPR data; on windblown geomorphology and target and anomaly detection.
