My life beforee BGU:

I was born in Beer-Sheva, grew up in the Neve Noy neighborhood in the city, and graduated from  Makif Gimmel high school. I completed all three of my degrees in BGU's Department of Economics. I wrote my doctoral dissertation in the field of game theory, with an emphasis on competitions and tenders.

"At almost every moment in life, we find ourselves in a situation of conflict of interests. Therefore, we can say that at almost any given moment we are in a game. In order to steer one's life in the right direction, it's important to know the rules of the game well and to understand the players well."

My research:

game theory and most of the research deals with grading systems and incentives in tenders and other competitions. In addition, over the last few years I have forged a number of amazing collaborations, which have led to research in the fields of green environment, green building, green energy and recycling.

Why BGU?

BGU is my home! It was here that I began my academic studies and was fortunate to complete three degrees in the Department of Economics. Over the years, I have taught at a range of higher education institutions and it was very enjoyable: Returning now to to BGU is an emotional closure for me.

An insight from my research:

At almost every moment in life, we find ourselves in a situation of conflict of interests. Therefore, we can say that at almost any given moment we are in a game. In order to steer one's life in the right direction, it's important to know the rules of the game well and to understand the players well.

Something that doesn't appear on my resume:

I really respect Chinese medicine and try to read at least one article a day on the subject. I believe that in the future I will study the subject in depth.

A source of inspiration:

The movie A Beautiful Mind, it's simply an amazing and powerful movie. I've watched it dozens of times.

When I grow up:

As a child, I thought I would be a lawyer, I had a neighbor who was a very successful lawyer and I thought it might suit me. Today I have no doubt that my future is in research.

If I was not a researcher, I would…: Be a strategic business and political consultant.
