For the 11th year, the Arni C. Thorsteinson Student Exchange Program was held during the month of May, with the participation of eight undergraduate students from the Guilford Glazer Faculty of Business and Management GGFBM, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev in cooperation with the Asper School of Business, University of Manitoba in Canada. The Program includes an intensive international management course, visits to international companies in Canada and Israel, and many experiential activities. This year was marked with a gala celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Program, with the participation of many alumni from Israel and Canada.

The Thorsteinson Student Exchange Program enables students at the Guilford Glazer Faculty of Business and Management to participate in academic and cultural exchanges, together with Asper School of Business students.

Program students from the Department of Management and the Department of Hotel and Tourism Management are selected on the basis of their GPA, on English language skills and on a personal interview.

Each morning begins with a quiz in class

Every year, students spend two weeks together in Winnipeg, 3 days in Toronto, and two weeks in Israel on a visit to Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, and around Israel. The students learn intensive courses in international strategy and marketing, and meet with industry leaders in both countries. They also enjoy experiences and excursions together, such as a baseball game, ice skating, a dip in the Dead Sea, a visit to Jerusalem and other significant sites.

Dr. Uriel Haran of the GGFBM Department of Management and academic head of the Program on behalf of the Faculty explains that, along with all their activities, "the students work on group projects of analyzing companies and international markets, and study hard for the final exam."

Visits and meetings were held at the ONEX Investment Fund owned by the supporter of the program, Gerald Schwartz, with the Consul General of Israel in Toronto, Galit Baram Amdor, with Canada-Israel Chamber of Commerce Chairman Oded Orgil, with Anat Davidzon, owner of the Aroma franchise chain in Canada, Standard Aero Jet and the Direct Focus Marketing Agency, with Aviv Bushinsky at the HESEG Foundation, and at WeWork.
