We are so saddened by the loss of our dear friend, mentor and visionary Morton Mandel. The Guilford Glazer Faculty of Business and Management will not be the same without him. We will miss his spirited visits and ongoing advice, his feisty ideas that continually revolutionize the world of management and leadership.
The Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Social Leadership Institute and building at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev will always be a reminder of this unforgettable, foremost leader, friend and supporter; and throughout the entire GGFBM Mort’s influence is and will always live on also in the reconceptualized social leadership studies in all degree programs. We are forever indebted to him for imbuing the most innovative models and values that put the Faculty at the forefront of management schools worldwide.
The first graduating classes of the Mandel Social Leadership MBA Program enjoyed Mort’s presence and lectures. The graduates, in particular, continue Mort’s memory through their leadership roles creating a better world. Mr. Mandel and the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Foundation are the role models for us all. It was our privilege and honor to know this great man and to be so indelibly inspired by him.
On behalf of the Guilford Glazer Faculty of Business and Management, I extend our deepest condolences to the Mandel Family for the profound loss of their beloved Morton Mandel; a loss felt by all Israel and around the world.
May Morton Mandel’s memory always remain a blessing.
