My life before BGU:
I was born in Haifa and attended high school at the Hebrew Reali School Haifa. I studied physics for my undergraduate degree, and then a direct PhD, at Tel Aviv University. I did my postdoc at UC Berkeley, in the field of solid-state physics.
"The solution to a complex problem begins and ends with putting in the hard work" |
My research:
I study quantum materials with qualities that allow for electrical and magnetic manipulation. The goal is for the materials I grow and research to be used as memory and processing components in state-of-the-arts technology.
Why BGU?
What drives me is the desire to establish my field of research in new territories. The people and convenient environment are one of the main reasons I chose to come to BGU.

An insight from my research:
The solution to a complex problem begins and ends with putting in the hard work.
Something that doesn’t appear on my CV:
Mountain climbing, diving, rappelling, hiking (primarily in the desert), music, and anything else that is good for the soul.
A source of inspiration:
My parents.
When I grow up:
As a child I wanted to be an astronaut; today I aim to study the universe in a different way.
If I were not a researcher, I would…
be a diving instructor.
