Department of Structural Engineering
Faculty of Engineering Sciences
My life before BGU:
I was born in Kiryat Bialik and grew up in Carmiel. I have lived in Beer-Sheva since 2007. I studied for my bachelor's degree in the Department of Structural Engineering at BGU, and continued on a direct PhD track in the same Department.
I work on the analysis and upgrading of buildings for earthquakes by optimizing the mass, stiffness and adding damping devices.
I love the desert, I love Beer-Sheva, I love BGU.
"I work on the analysis and upgrading of buildings for earthquakes by optimizing the mass, stiffness and adding damping devices."
An insight from my research:
There isn't a conclusion that begins with "It's always possible to rule that…. "
unless you add "…, only in the case of…"
Something that doesn't appear on my resume:
I am addicted to the gym (aerobic and anaerobic) and also to movies.
I'm crazy about my family.
A source of inspiration:
My grandfather, the late Avraham Yehezkel.
When I grow up:
As a child I would have answered 'a structural engineer;' today I say a researcher in the field of structural engineering.
If I was not a researcher, I would be involved with:
Maccabi or HaPoel? HaPoel Beer-Sheva of course
IPhone or Android? Android, for the freedom
Summer or winter? Winter
Book or movie? Movie, mainly for the popcorn
Pizza or hamburger? Tea or coffee? Beer or wine? Hamburger / coffee / beer
Game of Thrones or Breaking Bad? It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia
An isolated cabin in nature or a pampering hotel in the city? An isolated cabin in the desert
