Dr. Michael Feige was a sociologist and anthropologist specializing in Israeli society, collective memory and political myth. He taught at the Israel Studies program at BGU, where he gave the introductory course: 'Israeli Society: Sociological and anthropological aspects'. He was working with Prof. David Ohana on the commemoration of Ben-Gurion in Israel society. With Dr. Pnina Mutzafi-Haller he was co-editor of the academic journal 'Hagar: Studies in Culture, Politics, Identities'.
Dr. Feige was murdered by terrorists in an attack on Sarona Market in Tel Aviv in 2016.

Prof. Joel S. Migdal
Prof. Joel S. Migdal is Professor Emeritus at the University of Washington, where he was the Robert F. Philip Professor of International Studies, and a Visiting Professor at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Professor Migdal was formerly an associate professor of Government at Harvard University and a senior lecturer at Tel-Aviv University. As a leading scholar in Israel Studies he has written extensively on the subject and won multiple awards.
