Dr. Michael Feige was a sociologist and anthropologist specializing in Israeli society, collective memory and political myth. He taught at the Israel Studies program at BGU, where he gave the introductory course: 'Israeli Society: Sociological and anthropological aspects'. He was working with Prof. David Ohana on the commemoration of Ben-Gurion in Israel society. With Dr. Pnina Mutzafi-Haller he was co-editor of the academic journal 'Hagar: Studies in Culture, Politics, Identities'.

Dr. Feige was murdered by terrorists in an attack on Sarona Market in Tel Aviv in 2016.

Prof. Joel S. Migdal​​​

Prof. Joel S. Migdal is Professor Emeritus at the University of Washington, where he was the Robert F. Philip Professor of International Studies, and a Visiting Professor at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Professor Migdal was formerly an associate professor of Government at Harvard University and a senior lecturer at Tel-Aviv University. As a leading scholar in Israel Studies he has written  extensively on the subject and won multiple awards​​​.
