The Israel Ministry of Science, Technology and Space has bestowed a grant on Dr. Sarab Abu-Rabia-Queder to study “Ethiopian Women in Higher Education Institutions in Israel: Barriers and Proposals for Solutions”.
Abu-Rabia-Queder is a member of the Bona Terra Department of Man in the Desert who specializes in Modernization and development challenges among desert region populations; Informal economy and employment patterns among Bedouin women; Cultural-social transitions in desert regions among gender and ethnic minority groups in Israel (focusing on Bedouin population in Israel).
She is the author of three books and many articles on these topics.
She holds the Koshland Family Career Development Chair in Desert Studies.
