My life before BGU:
I was born and raised in Rehovot. I completed my bachelor's degree in computer science at Tel Aviv University. During that time, I was mainly interested in computation models and logic. I did my master's degree at the Weizmann Institute of Science, where I developed algorithms that efficiently deal with memory problems during computation. Later I went to Germany to do my doctorate at the Technical University of Berlin. There I researched efficient solutions to difficult computation problems connected to social networks. I come to BGU after a post-doc at the Weizmann Institute.

My research:
I am interested in learning whether there are efficient algorithms that can help a society of people or robots to reach good joint decisions that are beneficial for everyone. For example, how to best distribute a country's budget, or how to use social networks in order to reach better decisions.
Why BGU?
There seem to be good people at BGU who do interesting research, and I've already worked with some of them.
An insight from my research:
Things that seem difficult at the beginning are often not so when we think about them a bit more. For example, in most cases there are plenty of good and efficient algorithms for algorithmic problems that seem unsolvable at first.
Something that doesn't appear on my resume:
I love playing on just about every musical instrument that there is in the world.
A source of inspiration:
I think I am my own inspiration.
When I grow up:
If I remember correctly, I once wanted to be an astronaut. It still seems like fun, but thinking about things is more fun.
If I wasn't a researcher, I would be involved with:
music.
In brief: Maccabi or HaPoel? HaPoel, because we should never forget ideology. iPhone or Android? Both will fall at some point. Beer or wine? Wine and also beer. Game of Thrones or Breaking Bad? Breaking Bad of course. Dire Straits or Queen? King Crimson.
