Department of Physics
Faculty of Natural Sciences
My life before BGU:
I was born and grew up in the town of Arraba in the Galilee, and went to high school at Mar Elias Institutions in Ibillin. I studied math and physics for my undergraduate degree and continued at the Technion for my master's and doctoral degrees. During my doctoral studies I investigated the phenomenon of superconductivity at high temperatures. I did my postdoc research at the cyclotron at the Paul Scherrer Institute in Switzerland, where I used the synchrotron's radiation to investigate the physical properties of quantum materials.

My Research:
The physical properties of quantum materials are the foundations for innovative technological facilities. I study these properties, for example, superconductivity and magnetic order, using spectroscopic methods. These provide a comprehensive perspective that enables us to understand the principles underlying these properties.
Why BGU?
I was impressed by the potential for growth and by the dedication to teaching and research at the Department of Physics and the University in general.
An insight from my research:
Deciphering reality must be carried out while accepting and analyzing a range of perspectives.
Something that doesn’t appear on my CV:
I love hiking in nature.
When I grow up:
I've always wanted to investigate natural phenomena and be scientist.
If I wasn’t a researcher, I would...
Be in hi-tech.
