The Glatt Award for Teaching Excellence is granted in the name of Advocate Herman Glatt, in memory of his parents, Luba and David Glatt, who were active members of the Zionist movement in the US, and enthusiast supporters of Israel.

The award is granted each year for excellence in teaching, based on results of the 2021 teaching quality survey conducted among the students. This year 21 lecturers won the award, 5 of them from the Faculty of Natural Sciences.

The department of Computer Science is proud to announce that Dr. Niv Gilboa, Dr. Or Sattath and Mrs. Michal Shemesh, a teaching fellow in our department, are among the winners for 2021.

In addition, BGU's Unit for Promoting Teaching and Learning Quality recognized several innovative lecturers who led a significant, creative change in teaching this year.

Among these lecturers are Prof. Mike Codish, Prof. Chen Keasar and Mrs. Michal Shemesh, who won a cash reward and an appreciation certificate, and are the only winners from the Faculty of Natural Sciences.

Well done CS winners!
