Three new deans took over the Faculty of Engineering Sciences, the Faculty of Natural Sciences and the Kreitman School of Advanced Graduate Studies over the summer ahead of the new school year, which began two weeks ago.
Prof. Avi Levy (above) replaced Prof. Yossi Kost as dean of the Faculty of Engineering Sciences. Kost served as dean for six years. Levy is a past chair of the Department of Mechanical Engineering. He has been with the department since 1987.
Prof. Michal Shapira (above) took over from Prof. Jiwchar Ganor as dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences. Ganor had served as dean for three years. Shapira had been the dean of the Kreitman School of Advanced Graduate Studies. She served as dean for six years. She is a member of the Department of Life Sciences. She has been at BGU since 1995.
Prof. Dudy Bar- Zvi (above) took over from Prof. Shapira as the dean of the Kreitman School of Advanced Graduate Studies. He is also a member of the Department of Life Sciences.
