Yesterday, Wednesday March 9, 2016, Intel gave academic excellence awards to five female engineering students studying at BGU.
Intel hopes to change the face of education by investing in science and technology education, and cultivating innovation which encourages economic growth, excellence and programs to encourage women to study engineering and technology.
The students who received the Intel Academic Excellence Awards are:
Liron Agmon, pursuing a master’s degree in the Department of Chemical Engineering.
Liel Cohen, pursuing undergraduate and master’s degrees in the fast track (Meitar program) in the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management.
Shiran Navah, pursuing a master's degree in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
Rachel Abu, pursuing undergraduate and master’s degrees in the fast track (Meitar program) in the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management.
Naama Shukran, pursuing a master's degree in the Unit of Electro-Optical Engineering.
The prizes were awarded in the presence of Maxine Fassberg, CEO of Intel Israel and BGU President Prof. Rivka Carmi, with the participation of faculty members and the families of the winners.
