Most
notably the GGFBM reached 42nd place world-wide in the field of
Hospitality and Tourism Management. It is the only Israeli hospitality and tourism department
to make it into the ranking.

Innovative Management, “The
faculty and the department of hotel and tourism management’s spot in the
Shanghai ranking is testimony to the quality of our research. An analysis of
how the ranking system operates shows that the department’s success lies in
factors like the quality of the journals
in which the Faculty’s studies are published and its international collaborations.”

significance: the GGFBM is the youngest and smallest management faculty in
Israel, so this standing is evidence of highly productive, high quality
research and academic achievement,” adds Prof. Lowengart. “Not only that, but
the field of management is highly competitive, as compared to other exclusive
fields that may rank very high because they don’t exist at other universities.”
The Department of Hotel and Tourism Management has been an integral part of the Guilford Glazer Faculty of
Business and Management since the Faculty’s founding in 1994. The department
offered a breakthrough concept at the time for centralizing the various aspects
of study in the field. The department offers an undergraduate degree in Hotel
and Tourism Management and a Masters in Tourism and Hotel Management.

subjects of management, geological and environmental sciences, electrical and
computer engineering, biomedical engineering, structural (civil) engineering,
chemical engineering, environmental science & engineering, and economics.
BGU was ranked 301-400 in the
subjects of chemistry, mathematics, computer science, human biological sciences,
agricultural sciences, public health, pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences.
BGU was ranked 401-500 in the
subjects of biological sciences and clinical medicine.
