1. KU Summer Schools 2019
     WFI International Summer School „Firms in Society“ 2019
    Ingolstadt - July 29 - August 9, 2019 / Up to 10 ECTS points
    Students attend high-class courses on the role of firms in society, experience real world business insights with entrepreneurial champions, gain a deeper insight into German and especially Bavarian culture and visit famous Neuschwanstein Castle. Part of the program are several firm visits (AUDI, LEDvance, Bauer Group, brigk). Prof. Jennifer Brown from the prestigious Sauder School of Business will give a keynote on The Economics of (Mis)behavior The WFI Summer School focuses on Master students but each time we have accepted a few very good advanced Bachelor students. The required language level in English is B2. Students can obtain up to 10 ECTS points (4 modules at 2,5 ECTS points each). We will publish the module descriptions of the summer school courses in spring. This will allow students to have the course recognition checked at their home university in advance. We offer students of our partner universities a 50% discount on course fees but all participants have to pay the social fees (150€) as these cover the costs for trips etc. So if your students register before February 15, 2019, they will only be charged 355 € for two weeks of an outstanding program!

    In order to strengthen our cooperation and friendship, we have a special offer your students: we could waive the course fees for at least one of your students so he/she would only have to pay the social fees (150€).
    Scholarships might be available. Further information will follow in December.
    As the Summer School modules do not overlap with our university’s exam period, incoming exchange students are also welcome to apply for the Summer School!

    KU Summer School 2019
    Eichstätt - July 22 - August 14, 2019 / Up to 6 ECTS points
    Its beauty and quiet atmosphere make Eichstätt the best place for students from around the world who would like to learn or improve their German, experience German culture and have a good time!
    The program is for students of German or social sciences, but also for professionals. We offer courses for complete beginners as well as for participants with a good to advanced knowledge of German.
    The “classic” KU Summer School 2019 will include an intensive German language course in the mornings and the following German-taught academic courses in the afternoons:
     Bavarian dance
     German Pronunciation Training
     German for Soccer Players
     Bavarian Beer Culture
     Scenic Play and Community Music - Making Music and Singing together
     German Songs
    Furthermore, we will go on excursions to important Bavarian sites such as the medieval town of Rothenburg ob der Tauber, or we will go on a cruise on the Danube river to discover the well-known Altmühl natural park and Danube valley.

  2. Summer School of Molecular Medicine will be held in the Jena University Hospital from August 13 till September 13, 2018.
    The program is open to participants from all over the world who hold a Master’s or Diploma degree in biosciences, biochemistry, medicine or related fields. The candidates will complete practical courses from four different complexes (Molecular Biology, Morphology, Signalling, and Animal Models). The courses are accompanied by a lecture series.
    We will not charge a fee for the course. In addition, the accepted candidates will be supported by a DAAD fellowship, which will cover costs for accommodation and most of the travel expenses. Highly motivated candidates who have successfully completed the course will have the possibility to apply for a PhD position in the participating research groups. Candidates with an MD have the possibility of enrolling in the Master's course in Molecular Medicine at Jena University Hospital and joining a PhD programme once they have completed this course.

  3. 2nd Vilnius Summer School
    Vilnius Summer School is a week-long academic program dedicated to facilitate dialogue and in-depth analysis in the field of military, cyber and energy security at national, regional and global level.
    Three separate courses are offered: on military, cyber and energy security:

    Military Security course gives you a chance to get in-depth understanding about current threats the Eastern flank of Europe faces and the counter-measures it applies to deter aggressors and defend both – regional and national – security interests.
    Energy Security course provides you with an opportunity to gain knowledge about global energy tendencies and perspectives and how they correlate with regional and national developments of the European and the Baltic gas and electricity markets, as well as the remaining challenges the Baltic region faces in its efforts to enhance its energy security.
    Cyber Security course will provide an opportunity to get more knowledge about today’s cyber security world, including the emerging cyber-threats and increasing cyber-attacks. It will provide a chance to get in-depth understanding about cyber-defence and possible countermeasures, get involved into discussion about international and regional cyber security issues and strengthen awareness about existing cyber-threats

  7. TU Berlin Summer University 2018
    The TU Berlin Summer University 2018 opens its doors on June 11th and ends on August 16th.
    Courses take place across three academic terms, as below. Students may choose from four, six and ten-week course combinations and can earn up to 13 ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System) credit points.
    Accommodation is available, students receive both a public transportation ticket and 24-hour support from the Summer University team on site.

  9. Summer school at the University of Vienna:
    will take place from July 14th to August 11th 2018. The four week program offers high level European Studies courses and the Austrian Arbitration Academy in the morning and German Language courses in the afternoon.
    The European Studies courses are held in English and focus on Europe and the European Union. They cover political, economic, and legal, but also historical and cultural aspects of the multiple transformations the continent is currently undergoing. The Austrian Arbitration academy focuses on international dispute settlement by arbitral tribunals.
