​The International Day of Light (IDL) is an UNESCO global initiative that provides a platform for the continued appreciation of light and the role it plays in science, culture and art, education and sustainable development, and in fields as diverse as medicine, communications and energy.

On May 20th, 2021, we will celebrate (the second) IDL confernece for young researchers in the field of optics and photonics at the Ben-Gurion University.
