​​​Cognitive Sciences at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev

Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (“BGU") has a large community of researchers in cognitive and brain sciences and interfacing disciplines. About sixty senior faculty members are involved in the Master's and Doctorate degree programs.

The program's faculty members belong to different units of the university:

The Faculty of the Humanities and Social Sciences – The Department of Psychology​, the Department of Philosophy​, the Department of Linguistics and the Department of Education;

The Faculty of Natural Sciences – The Department of Computer Sciences​, the Department of Mathematics, the Department of Physics and the Department of Life Sciences;

The Faculty of Engineering Sciences – The Department of Biomedical Engineering, the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering, the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management, and the Department of Software and Information Systems Engineering​;

The Faculty of Health Sciences and the School of Management​.

BGU has various research centers in disciplines and subjects relevant to the cognitive sciences, such as the School of Brain Sciences and Cognition, the ABC Robotics Initiative – Agricultural, Biological and Cognitive, the Center for Decision-Making and Economic Psychology, the Cyber Center and the Center for Multidisciplinary Research in Aging (CMRA).

The School of Brain Sciences and Cognition​ brings together all the brain researchers at BGU under one roof. ​
