Application for the Doctoral Program
Candidates with a thesis-based Master's degree in a discipline with a clear connection to neuroscience are eligible to apply for the doctoral program. Applications can be submitted only after (1) securing approval of supervision by a principal investigator from the Department or one who is affiliated with the School of Brain Sciences and Cognition, and (2) defining a research topic with a clear connection to Cognitive and Brain Sciences. We encourage supervision by two supervisors from different disciplines, but the research work can also be conducted under the guidance of a single supervisor.
Candidates wishing to apply for the doctoral program in the Department must register on the website of the Kreitman School of Advanced Graduate Studies with the following attached documents:
- Academic transcripts
- Two letters of academic recommendations with a letter from the designated supervisor indicating his/her willingness to supervise the candidate.
- Curriculum Vitae
- Initial research program - one page describing the topic and content of the research for a Ph.D. degree, signed by the designated supervisor
Scope of Studies
Students must take courses in a scope of 6-12 credits.
Duration of Studies
4 years.
Departmental Seminar
Ph.D. students are required to attend 50% of the departmental seminars in each semester.
