Marie-Hélène Bérard is President and founder of MHB SAS, an investment/ consulting firm based in Paris, specializing in cross-border transactions, in particular in Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union.

She began her career in the French civil service, where she worked for some two decades in various capacities related to budgeting and finance, at the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Ministry of Health and Social Security, and at the Prime Minister's office. She was special advisor to Prime Ministers Raymon Barre and Jacques Chirac.

Following her career in government, Marie-Hélène became Managing Director of Marceau Investissements in 1988 and then joined the executive committee of HSBC Bank where she remained 11 years before founding MHB SAS.

Marie-Hélène Bérard is involved with a range of philanthropic organizations, from the Chirac Foundation, to the French-Israeli chamber of commerce, and the French-Russian Dialogue association. She became president of the French Friends of BGU in 2019.

She was honored for her service to the French state and society as Commander of the French Legion of Honor and Commander of the French National Order of Merit.
