Prof. Danny Cohen-Zada, head of the Department of Economics, was born and raised in the Daled neighborhood of Beer-Sheva, a stone’s throw from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (BGU). He used to gaze at the University’s buildings from his bedroom window and make plans for the future that included studying at the University. Today he is a renowned economist who looks back with pride.
