The Department of Software and Information Systems Engineering (SISE) at Ben-Gurion University invites applications for tenure-track faculty positions in Artificial Intelligence (AI), to commence as soon as the applicant is available. We invite applicants with expertise in all areas of AI, but are particularly interested in those conducting research in human- and ethical-aware AI, explainability, and Machine Learning with the Human-in-the-Loop.
The Department of Software and Information Systems at Ben-Gurion University (SISE) has the largest number of Artificial Intelligence researchers in Israel, and is acknowledged internationally in AI research. We have over 200 MSc students and over 70 PhD students, and many of our graduates have proceeded to obtain academic and research positions in top institutions in Israel and abroad. Our MSc programs in AI, machine learning and data science attract top students from around the country and abroad. The department includes state-of-the-art labs and research facilities in our new dedicated building on campus.
SISE is a core member of BGU's new Data Science Research Center that includes more than 100 faculty members from 20 different departments.
