General Funding Opportunities for BGU Students going to study abroad

• Fulbright-ISEF Postdoctoral Fellowship
  Fulbright Israel and ISEF-Foundation plan to offer a joint fellowship to a postdoctoral scholar who is about to begin a program of research during the 2025/26 academic year at an accredited university or non-profit research institute in the United States.
  
  Fulbright-ISEF Postdoc fellowship will be awarded to a researcher coming from the socio-geographical periphery of Israel and who has proven record in community service.
  This program is open to researchers in all fields of study except programs that include clinical activities involving direct patient care.
  Those interested in submitting an application for the Fulbright-ISEF scholarship must submit a number of additional documents, the details of which can be found in the Application instructions button at the bottom of the scholarship page.
  
  The grant package includes:
  - $60,000 award.
  - Basic health insurance for the grantee only, for the duration of the grant.
  - J1/J2 visa administration.
  - Pre-departure orientation meeting in Israel.
  - A support agency in the U.S. that assists with visas, events and networking.

Sam Zuckerberg scholarship
programs for BGU graduates for a one-year Master’s degree program in the UK.
The scholarship covers fees, accommodation, and a contribution towards living expenses up to a total of £25,000 for the Academic Year starting January 2025. The living expenses contribution will be paid for 50 weeks, but should the student decide to return home early, payment will stop when they leave Oxford.

Applicants should fulfil the following criteria:

• - Wish to study for a one-year full-time master’s degree at Oxford Brookes University
• - Have a good undergraduate degree from BGU (equivalent to a 1st/2:1)
• - Be under 35 years of age
  
• - • Have an offer of a place on an Oxford Brookes Masters’ degree course by the end of July 2024 (application deadline May 2024)
• - Have an IELTS score of 6.0-7.0 overall (last test date September 2024).
• - Have relevant work experience (if necessary)
• - Be prepared and able to present BGU and Israel in a positive light to faculty and fellow students on Campus
• - Undertake to return to Israel after completing their studies
• - Be in financial need
• - Not previously studied in the UK
• - Not previously received financial assistance to study abroad

Coimbra Group Scholarship Program for Young Researchers from the European Neighborhood.
As a member of the Coimbra Group, the University of Graz offers short-term visits to young researchers from higher education institutions from countries in the European Neighborhood (Albania, Algeria, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Egypt, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Georgia, Israel, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Libya, Moldova, Montenegro, Morocco, the Palestinian Authority, Serbia, Syria, Tajikistan, Tunisia, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan).

The main aim of this scholarship program is to enable scholars to undertake research in which they are engaged in their home institution abroad and to help them to establish academic and research contacts.

The OECD Internship Programme​​

The OECD Internship Programme has been designed to bring highly qualified and motivated students with diverse backgrounds into the Organisation to work on projects linked to the Strategic Orientations of the Secretary-General. Its main goal is to give to successful candidates an opportunity to improve their analytical and technical skills as well as the experience to work in a truly international environment.

These internships are open for full time students who:
•are enrolled in the field of economics or in another discipline related to the work of the OECD (social affairs, trade, agriculture, development, education, employment, environment, finance, fiscal affairs and statistics, amongst others);
•master English or French and have the capability of drafting in one of these languages; a knowledge of the other language would definitely be an advantage, as would knowledge of other languages used at the OECD;
•are capable of working in a team in a multicultural and international environment, and
•are part of a Corporate Programme with one Partner University or can benefit from a Memorandum of Agreement between their University and the OECD.
