The computerized system for submitting a request for Conference or Research Abroad is intended for the following populations:

Senior academic faculty

Senior academic clinical faculty

Junior academic/clinical faculty - students with an appointment who accrue an International Science-Relations Fund

Students with access to the e-Tafnit system

 

​Submitting a request through the system:

Please note: the request for Conference or Research Abroad must reach the desk queue of the Coordinator of Conference or Research Abroad at least one month prior to departure.

Please note: requests can be submitted from University computers or from Soroka University Medical Center.

To connect to the Travel Abroad System from outside the University network you must have access to a VPN. Details for receiving VPN services >>

A request sent through the computerized system is transferred for approval to the direct superior (not advisor) → approval of a budget officer → approval of the Coordinator of Conference or Research Abroad (according to work queue) → approval or rejection of the request is sent automatically by email from the e-Tafnit system to the faculty member.

Submitting a request on a manual form: ​​

The following must still submit a “Faculty Member Request for Funding Advanced Studies" accompanied by the required documents to email: nesiot@bgu.ac.il

Teaching fellows

External teachers

Teaching assistants

External consultants

Students without an academic appointment

Requests submitted on a manual form are sent by email for handling by the Coordinator for Conference or Research Abroad who enters the request into the computer system → approval by budget officer → approval by Coordinator for Conference or Research Abroad coordinator (according to work queue) → approval or rejection of request is sent automatically by email from the e-Tafnit system to the faculty member or student.

Please note ♥: documentation for the Conference or Research Abroad request must be submitted in English or Hebrew. Documentation in other languages must be submitted with an attached translation (into English/Hebrew).
