TEMPUS is the European Union's program which supports the modernization of higher education in the EU's surrounding area. Tempus promotes institutional cooperation that involves the European Union and Partner Countries and focuses on the reform and modernization of higher education systems in the Partner Countries of Eastern Europe, Central Asia, the Western Balkans and the Mediterranean region.
The EduNano project is aimed at common courses development for the new skills needed for the new jobs in the multidisciplinary nanotechnology for MSc degree level, professionals and teacher training
The project is based on a multilateral partnership between higher education institutions in the EU and Israel. It involves six higher education institutions from different geographical regions of Israel including all Nano centers in the country; two social partners/industrial partners, and three higher education institutions with expertise and experience in nanotechnologies and curriculum development from the EU Member States.
The IKI participate in the project and is in the process of developing two courses:
1. Advance Topics in Electrooptics and Nano-Photonics: Prof. Gabby Sarusi
2. Nanotechnology- Journey through time and space towards the future drugs: Dr. Tsiona Elkayam
