Establishment of data collection systems for reliable information concerning community problems in order to provide the basis for development of health services for the Negev population
Influence policy makers by means of services evaluation, education and development of various community models of service
Promotion of all aspects of primary health care research: clinical, psychosocial, educational, economic/occupational health, organizational
Promotion of co-operation with community agencies: Kupot Holim, Ministry of Health, municipalities, national social security, public organizations
Promotion and encouragement of national and international programs for the advancement of community health professions such as: MPH program with clinical/community orientation, Center for World Health Organization
Establishment of a Center for Research in Family Medicine and Primary Care
Continue to provide an academic framework for all the primary health care disciplines
The realization of this vision will only be achieved through the collaboration of the Division's staff and through the promotion of fertile cooperation among the Division's units and with other Divisions within the Faculty of Health Sciences of Ben-Gurion University of the Negev
