The Primary Pediatric Care Unit serves as the pivot between the Faculty of Health Sciences, the primary care pediatric health services in the community, and the Division of Pediatrics, Soroka University Medical Center.
Vision:
To advance the health status of the Negev population through research, education and improved utilization of services.
Education:
The Primary Pediatric Care Unit promotes pediatric primary care rotations for Ben-Gurion University medical students.
The Unit coordinates a continuing medical education program for pediatricians in the Negev.
Interests:
The main areas of interest of the Primary Pediatric Care Unit are: clinical education, medical education, clinical algorithms and guidelines, community oriented health services, pediatric health centers, pediatric problems in the community and relationship between community health services and hospital services.
