On July 11, 2021, members of the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering visited Microsoft Israel Development Center in Herzliya, as part of a collaboration of the industry reaching out to the Faculty of Engineering Sciences.

The visit was hosted by Dr. Tomer Simon, chief Scientist, Microsoft Israel Development Center.

The purpose of the visit was to establish collaboration between researchers from the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering and the research and development staff at Microsoft.

The visit included a tour of the new facility in Herzliya.

The meeting was held in a round table form, during which the academic staff presented their research to the management of the research and development groups at Microsoft.

The goal was to find opportunities for future collaborations.  At the meeting were 100 Microsoft Israel staff members present.

In attendance from the Faculty of Engineering Sciences: Prof. Boaz Rafaely, The Head of the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Researchers Dr. Shlomo Grinberg, Dr. Nir Shlezinger, Dr. Yehuda Ben-Shimol, Prof. Michael Segal; Doctoral Students; Erez Manor and Moshe Ben Simon; Jill Zimmermann and Meital Devash, Academic- Industrial Relations Awards and Scholarship Administrator at the Faculty of Engineering Sciences.

This Collaboration is part of the initiated activities of establishing the Industrial Affiliates Program. ​
