My work concerns the atomic and electronic structures and chemistry of surfaces and interfaces of semiconductors. Over the past twenty-five years, focus has been predominantly on organic molecular semiconductors, hybrid halide perovskite films and transition metal dichalcogenides.
My research group expertise includes Materials Science, Electrochemistry, Power sources and Water technologies.
We develop rechargeable batteries and supercapacitors for electromobility (all aspects) and large energy storage.
We work on a variety of technologies, giving the chance to developing energy storage and conversion systems based on the most abundant elements of earth crust. We also develop water technologies including separation, cleaning, disinfection, CO2 sequestration and effective hydrogen production. We struggle to keep a good balance between basic and practical science.
