The study program in art history and visual culture:

The studies will include mandatory courses that will train the students in research approaches and research writing in the field of art history, both in terms of the theoretical background and in terms of analyzing works. As part of the areas of specialization, the students will study a course that combines analysis of works with reading primary sources, archives, manuscripts, letters, unpublished material, etc. The students will also be required to take two seminars in the field of specialization

You can register for one undergraduate seminar (4 credits) that will be considered as part of the elective courses for the master's degree.

Thesis and personal guidance in curatorship - each student will be assigned a senior faculty member who will accompany him during his studies.

The master's thesis in curatorship will be written under the guidance of a curatorial expert and a researcher in the theoretical field of the curatorial project.

Final exam - the students studying in the general path must take a final exam at the end of the second year of studies and provided that they have successfully met the course requirements for the degree with an average of at least 75. The date of the exam and confirmation of participation in the exam in coordination with the department secretary.  A passing grade in the final exam is 75.

The curation major study program - research path only:

The curriculum in the curation major takes place under two possible study clusters: art curation and heritage site curation. The studies include theoretical and practical aspects in the fields of museology, including a practical curation course at the end of which an exhibition curated by the students of the course is shown.

Outstanding students are given the option of a practical internship at a recognized museum institution. ​

Dissertation and personal guidance in curatorship - each student will be assigned a senior faculty member who will accompany him during his studies. The thesis will focus on a museum or curatorial issue, or alternatively on a theoretical issue to which will be attached a closing chapter of an exhibition plan that implements the research part of the work.​
