Congratulations to PhD student Mor Farajian for the publication of her paper in the prestigious journal eLife. In her work (together with PhD students Hanna Kossowsky and Amit Milstein and graduates Dr. Raz Leib and Tomer Zaidenberg) she found how stretching the skin of the finger tips contributes to the perception of stiffness and the grip force that we use to prevent the slippage of manipulated objects. The study was performed in collaboration with Prof. Sandro Mussa-Ivaldi from the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago and funded by the US-Israel Binational Science Foundation.
