CoWERC is a consortium of universities, national laboratories, water management agencies, private companies, and non-profit organizations with the mission to leverage recent advances in both the U.S. and Israel to reduce energy intensity and the cost of water across the entire
water spectrum.
CoWERC develops and tests critical new technologies, materials, and processes to improve
desalination water supply,wastewater reuse, and resource recovery from wastewater.
CoWERC uses dedicated facilities to scale-up promising new technologies, pilot tests them at
desalination andwater reclamation facilities, and evaluate their cost and impact on energy-water systems.
