I am currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering, Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India, since April 2022. I received my Ph.D. degree in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, India, in 2020. I was then awarded the prestigious Blaustein Postdoctoral Fellowship in the Department of Desalination and Water Treatment, Zuckerberg Institute for Water Research, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Israel, until April 2022.
My broad research activities include membrane science and technology, advanced functional materials, water treatment, biomedical engineering, gas separations, and fuel cells.

I joined the BIDR in July 2020 amidst the pandemic. Along with the dedicated BGU/BIDR team, I owe a debt of gratitude to Prof. Roni Kasher, my supervisor, whose unwavering support made my transition seamless. During my tenure at the BIDR, I immersed myself in world-class research with cutting-edge instrumentation facilities in membrane technology and water research. My focus was on developing environmentally friendly processes to modify commercial membranes for water treatment. A significant achievement was the creation of a membrane for nitrate removal from the contaminated groundwater of Israel's coastal aquifer region, resulting in several publications and a patent application. Thanks to Roni, I also had opportunities to mentor students, manage research group activities, work in a team, and participate in research proposal writing. This multifaceted experience and training laid the groundwork for my current role as a faculty member in the Department of Chemical Engineering at IISER Bhopal in India.
