A group of educators studying learning processes and their various components in contexts beyond the classroom.
Our research is based on the premise that learning takes place throughout one's entire life-course, in a broad array of contexts and interactions, including those that are not specifically designed for learning.
The group predominantly focuses on the social and affective dimensions of learning, as they unfold in a socio-cultural context.
Currently, most of the group’s studies explore science (and other domains) learning in informal environments and teacher (on-the-job) professional learning.
We employ various research approaches and methods, both qualitative and quantitative, based on observations, interviews, and surveys and including discourse analysis, multimodal video analysis, and psychophysiological measures.
