Dr. Akihiro Masuyama is assistant professor in the faculty of Psychology in Iryo Sosei University, Iwaki, Fukushima, Japan. Dr. Masuyama completed his doctoral studies (Ph. D.) in Psychology from University of Tsukuba, Japan. He is experienced as a clinical practitioner in the field of school psychology for adolescents based on a cognitive behavior approach. His publications include research on 1) depression and cognitive control, 2) mental health crisis during COVID-19 pandemic, and 3) mental health and resilience. Dr. Masuyama has co-worked with Drs. Isralowitz and Reznik of the RADAR Center on comparative mental health and addiction research during the COVID-19 pandemic in Japan among university students.
