My main field of research is philosophical ethics. I am currently dealing mainly with questions concerning the nature, justification, and limits of moral and political obligation, with the ethics of truthfulness, and with the ethics of informed consent. I have a special concentration on the question of how these ethical issues come up in the field of bioethics.
Aside from my occupation in philosophy, I still see patients as a medical doctor – one might see that as one of my hobbies…
