A residential complex for research students, senior academic staff and their families.​

The university initiated the establishment of a residential complex for research students, post-doctoral students and senior academic staff members, because of the desire to provide a quality and homogeneous living environment close to the university and an optimal combination of building an academic career while raising your family.
 The complex was built by the “Ashtrom" company and is managed by it.

The residential complex has been designed and planned to meet all the unique needs of the students and their families while emphasizing a student atmosphere alongside a diverse social and community life and while meeting the standards of green building.



Everything you need, close to campus:

Community: Neighborhood and close acquaintance create a bond of guarantee and mutual help.

Ideal for families: parking in the complex (costing 102 NIS per month), proximity to the workplace, proximity to the university kindergarten, playground and gymboree inside the complex, and a park across the road

Everything you need in the complex: laundry room, commercial complex, study room, warehouses for storing bicycles and carts

Everything is close: geography ensures maximum flexibility and balance between work and family.

Adjacent train station: full flexibility for spouses, and also for grandparents who want to come for a visit

Sports and leisure: gym in the complex, bicycle facilities, the sports center are nearby, the neighboring entertainment and catering complexes and all the cultural activities located at the university continue to be close to you, even after working hours.

Who is eligible to live in the complex?​

• Advance academic degree(PhD and Masters)

• Married students (or with publicly known spouses) and/or family members

• Students at the Goldman School of Medicine starting in the fifth year of their studies

• Postdoctoral students

• ​Senior Academic Staff Members´

It is possible to live in the complex for the entire normative period of study for the degree (depending on the degree/continuing education studied).´

For members of senior academic staff, the residence in the complex is on a contract for a period of one full year (with the possibility of renewing a contract for another year).



Prices​ for 2021/2022

 

Price of a 2-room apartment - 2,219NIS
(The monthly payment to Ashtrom will be 3,572NIS and each month you will receive a scholarship of 1,353NIS for residents of dormitories).

For members of senior academic staff, a refund of the payment (NIS 3,572) can be received, according to the rules, from the absorption grant, to faculty members who are entitled to it.

Price of a 3-room apartment - 2,760NIS
(The monthly payment to Ashtrom will be NIS 4,277 and each month you will receive a scholarship of NIS 1,517 intended for residents of dormitories).

* One scholarship will be awarded per apartment. The amounts are linked to the consumer price index and will be updated once a year at the beginning of the academic year.

For members of senior academic staff, a refund of the payment (NIS 4,277) can be received, according to the rules, from the absorption grant, to members of faculty who are entitled to it.

The payment and the subsidy


The payment for living in the complex includes a payment for all the services that the residents of the complex receive to ensure a "quiet head" experience. The entitled students receive a unique subsidy of tuition from the university, through a dedicated scholarship, to ensure a unique living experience and ownership that does not exceed market prices in the university environment.​

3-room apartments​

The size of the apartment is about 64 square meters and it is intended for families, couples and partners. The complex has 54 three-room apartments, 1 of them are accessible apartments.

In each apartment: double bed and mattress, dining table and four chairs, pull-out youth bed, three-seater sofa, coffee table, TV sideboard, air conditioner in each room, wardrobe, desk with shelves, portable drawer cabinet and student chair, bedside table, bathroom And fully equipped toilets and more. The apartment also has a TV, fridge, oven, electric hob, microwave and kettle.




2-room apartments​ 




The apartment is about 42 square meters in size and is intended for couples or singles.

The complex has 75 two-room apartments, 3 of them are accessible apartments.

In each apartment: double bed and mattress, dining table and two chairs, three-seater sofa, coffee table, TV sideboard, air conditioner in each room, wardrobe, desk with shelves, portable drawer cabinet and student chair, bedside table, fully equipped bathroom and toilet and more. The apartment also has a TV, fridge, oven, electric hob, microwave and kettle.

The students and their families who live in the complex enjoy a complete, high-class living experience in one of the 129 new and well-equipped housing units adjacent to the university and the train station.

The residents enjoy proximity to all campus services, the university sports center, quality kindergartens and places of entertainment. In the complex itself, the residents are offered common spaces for learning and diverse family life, including a gym, a games room and a playground.
