Department of Business Administration MBA
The MBA program is structured to provide a common base of knowledge for all students, regardless of previous educational background. Six pre-requisite courses are offered in the first year of studies; Finance, Marketing, Accounting, Organizational Behavior, Quantitative Methods and Computer Applications.
Two compulsory courses in Operations Research and Operations Management are followed by an advanced course in Strategy and Management Policy – which integrates various business functions and their interdependencies. Students can then choose from a selection of over 80 elective courses.
Two tracks are available: the standard track for those students whose immediate aim is to obtain an MBA; and the research (thesis) track for those students who wish to advance their research skills and possibly continue studies to Ph.D. level. In each track, students may choose a field of specialization or pursue a general management orientation.
Study Tracks:
Finance
The aim of this study track is to prepare students for management positions in the field of finance. The program provides students with the necessary skills to deal with the ways in which individuals, business entities and other organizations allocate their sources of funding over periods of time. It offers possible solutions for making decisions under conditions of uncertainty. The variety of courses provides students with the necessary tools to understand the decision-making process in a diverse business environment, taking into account the ways in which capital markets in Israel and abroad operate. The program emphasizes the education and academic training required of students who wish to work in industry, financial institutions and government organizations. Accordingly, some of the required courses allow for exemptions in from licensing exams for investment advisors or portfolio managers. In addition, a selected number of students from the Finance study track may participate in the business department's Business Class course where students manage actual investment portfolios for a number of clients.

Finance & Insurance
The aim of this program is to train students for management positions in finance, pensions and insurance. In this context, studies and the training in the capital market include subjects of life insurance, pensions and retirement are studied, as well as their incorporation into the capital market in light of the Bachar Committee Reform. The program emphasizes decision-making under conditions of uncertainty in a business environment, with a broad view of the capital market considering these reforms in the industry. The variety of courses represents core issues of human resources management, theoretical aspects and applications of key managerial skills, as well as principles for the analysis and diagnosis of behavioral phenomena. The organizational track emphasizes the connection between theory and field, and combines the imparting of tools of scientific inquiry with the demonstration and implementation of these tools in the most up-to-date organizational situations.

Marketing
The Marketing specialization is designed to meet the needs of managers in general, particularly marketing managers in dealing with a dynamic, competitive, global marketing environment. The program presents students with the subject of marketing both in Israel and abroad, emphasizing new trends in theory and practice, and provides students with tools for advancement commercial and non-commercial projects.
Organizational Behavior
The
aim of this study track is to expand knowledge of various aspects of Behavioral
Sciences in Management, and to train students for management positions in the
areas of human resources and organizational consulting. The variety of courses
represent core topics of human resource management, theoretical and practical aspects
of essential managerial skills, as well as pivotal principles for the analysis
and diagnosis of behavioral phenomena. The Organizational Behavior track
emphasizes the connection between theory and field, combining implementable tools
of scientific inquiry with the demonstration and application of these tools in
the current organizational setting.
Strategy and International Management
The goal of this track is to train students to understand the depth and effective
conduct in aspects related to strategy, meaning how to plan the firm's goals,
and management in a global environment. The track includes courses focusing on insights
into the macro of the global world, courses on strategy and management at the
firm level, and courses on micro-level management. The topics studied include
competitive strategy, international strategy, strategic thinking, international
business entrepreneurship, international culture and business, courses focusing
on the region (for example, management in Asia), and courses focusing on
strategic or international aspects of finance and marketing.

Entrepreneurship and Innovation
The specialization provides students with the knowledge and tools required of entrepreneurs and managers, especially in the areas of hi-tech and bio-tech, as well as of owners of small businesses and agencies in the business and public sectors associated with them. Studies involve an integration of theoretical and empirical knowledge that is based on collaboration with hi-tech companies (both industry and services), with business agencies that are a part of this industry (venture capital etc.) and universities around the world that specialize in this area. The specialization has an empirical focus and includes preparing a business plan for a real entrepreneurial project.
Multidisciplinary Program
The multi-disciplinary program is intended for students interested in enriching their knowledge in a number of areas of business administration. It is suitable for students whose occupations are multidisciplinary and more comprehensive than just one area of business. For example, the opportunity to acquire knowledge in a variety of areas such as strategy, entrepreneurship, marketing, finance and organizational behavior is useful for students who serve as general managers or board members (or who intend to serve in the future). To engage in the future and are interested in keeping most of the options available for further academic information. This program is suitable for students wish to acquire the broadest of possibilities.

Research
The Department places an emphasis on academic research covering a wide range of business and management issues, representing the diversity of faculty members' expertise. Many students are actively involved in research projects as part of their coursework.

Throughout the year, several intensive one-week courses and workshops are presented in English by visiting scholars from leading universities around the world.
