According to the program team:
"In recent years, with the growing access to large databases of patient medical records, it has become possible to conduct epidemiological studies based on rich "real world" data of large populations, on risk factors, causality, interventions and more.
In addition, the need for the development and validation of predictive models based on big data is gaining momentum especially in the fields of health sciences, including personalized medicine, response to treatment, and resistance to antibiotics.
consequently, there is a demand for professionals who combine knowledge in epidemiology and biostatistics with skills in big data analysis. Such experts will be essential to the medical research and industry and will change the face of medicine."
