The Cognitive Neuropsychology Laboratory studies the neural and cognitive basis of numerical processing, attention and cognitive control, emotion, word processing, and synesthesia. In all of these areas we investigate the brain-behavior relationship, both in normal and deficient (e.g., brain-injured) populations. We use behavioral methods, neuroimaging techniques like fMRI and ERP, and computation. Part of our research effort is devoted to understanding typical and atypical development. Populations studied include, normal healthy adults, the elderly, adolescents, and children, those with learning disabilities (e.g., developmental dyscalculia), and brain-injured individuals. Recently, in collaboration with Ronen Segev's laboratory, we have started to conduct research on fish. Currently, we study numerical processing, attention, and cognitive control.
